Why ganesha kept out of house?
This is a picture of Hindu God of logic and reason, Ganesha, hanging out side the western wall, next to main gate. Why out side?

As per scripture Ganesha is always worshipped first hence Ganesha idol is installed outside main gate. But there is another reason. Ganesha being lord of reason and logic is not permitted inside the house except on Diwali when Ganesha is worshipped with Laxmi, godess of wealth.
Why banish Ganesha from Home?
Reason and logic only results in argument which is not good for house hold (गृहस्ती). To maintain peace and amity in house keep logic and reason out alongwith it's lord.
Moral of the story:
married people should leave logic and reason at the doorstep, when entering the house.
