Summer heat wave: Effect on Peepal Tree or Ficus Religiosa

Effect of heat wave:

Summer heat wave in New Delhi June 2014 rose upto 47 degree centigrade so far. The Peepal tree or Ficus Religosa is a native breed (Often treated as a specie of Banyan Tree) which is a most resilient to heat. But this summer it's leaves could also not bear the heat wave.
