Sugarcane juice is disappearing. Another dying tradition.

Sugarcane juice was a regular drink in summers but now it is not seen in New Delhi at all. This pictures are from Hastinapur a small township in U.P.
This is  the sugarcane crushing machine which extracts juice by pressing it between rollers.

This is the juice. It is very sweet. To balance sweetness and to ease digestion lime, ginger and mint leave are added during crushing which these juices as well in small quantity.
